Baseball and bat in glove
Norwich Rec and the Norwich Baseball Association will run an in-town 10U Cal Ripken baseball program where everybody practices together on Mondays and then we split up all the available players for a game on Wednesday. It should be fun and flexible given everyone's vacation schedules. The goal is to develop basic baseball skills. Everyone plays. Everyone hits. It is about player development, not wins and losses. This is particularly true for kids playing real (kid pitch) baseball for the first time.  Most importantly, we want the kids to have fun.

Real baseball requires equipment. Each player should have grey baseball pants and a pair of cleats. Most players have their own helmet and bat. Helmets should have a jaw protector. Bats should have a USA baseball stamp on them. We have a few extra helmets and bats if needed. Boys must wear athletic cups. Age eligible baseball players are those born on or after May 1, 2012.
