Our focus is individual & team skill development within a player friendly, fun environment. Practices begin in November*, and games may begin in December. All team practices and scrimmages are held in the Marion Cross School Gym.. When possible, games will be held on practice days in addition to Saturdays throughout the winter.
 
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM    Norwich Nordic (K-3rd) - K-3rd Nordic
Norwich Nordic (K-3rd Grade)Mondays, 3:30-4:30pm. December 5-March 6. Huntley Meadow. (We will not hold practice on school holidays or if school is cancelled.)Cross-country ski with us at Huntley this year! This program will emphasize having fun in the snow on Nordic skis. All abilities welcome. When we don’t have snow (or if ice makes Huntley too sketchy), practice will be held at the Tracey Hall gym. We anticipate the first few practices will run this way, and will be a good opportunities for the kids and coaches to get to know one another, before we contend with equipment.Your child will need classic skis, boots, and poles. Please refer to Ford Sayre’s Equipment page if you are new to kids’ ski gear. The section on waxless classic skis is the relevant one; we won’t be using the skate technique.A limited selection of loaner skis, boots, and poles are available. Please email bswenson@norwich.vt.us if you are interested in loaner equipment.

Postural alignment, attention to breath, and a sprinkling of yoga philosophy are woven into each class. Looking for more challenge or chill? Examples of games and their cultural background: Park golf is of Japanese and Korean, Bocce is of Italian and French, Badminton is of Chinese. (We will not hold practice on school holidays or if school is cancelled.)Cross-country ski with us at Huntley this year! This program will emphasize having fun in the snow on Nordic skis. All abilities welcome. When we don’t have snow (or if ice makes Huntley too sketchy), practice will be held at the Tracey Hall gym. We anticipate the first few practices will run this way, and will be a good opportunities for the kids and coaches to get to know one another, before we contend with equipment.Your child will need classic skis, boots, and poles. Please refer to Ford Sayre’s Equipment page if you are new to kids’ ski gear. The section on waxless classic skis is the relevant one; we won’t be using the skate technique.A limited selection of loaner skis, boots, and poles are available. It’s pre-Spring Training time! This session will give you a chance to focus and work onfundamentals: pre-season batting, pitching & fielding skills in preparation for a potential outdoor season. Sign up to improve individually and become more baseball savvy, as well as getting synchronized with the group you’ll be playing with later this spring. It is not required to play on the team in the spring but anyone considering playing spring baseball is encouraged to take part. Teamwork and strategy will also be introduced. Please BYO glove, helmet and bat.  (Please let your coach know if you need to borrow these items from Norwich Recreation).
