Tennis Court Update
5/29 - BlakTop has confirmed that they will be in to pave the tennis courts sometime in July. Chase Construction will be in sooner to do the excavation work and prep.
An RFP will go out this month, requesting bidders for the lining of the courts. We will be lining 4 full sized tennis courts and 4 pickleball courts (on either side of the nets, overlaying two courts).
As of now, we still anticipate the project to finish this summer.
4/28 - The courts are being reconstructed. After 40 years of community use, they became significantly cracked and were being seasonally hand-taped.
Last year, we put out an RFP for the reconstruction. BlakTop Paving won the bid and began work in the fall. The current plan is for them to finish removing the existing asphalt as soon as the fields are dry enough for heavy equipment to cross. Then they will repave the courts and they will be surfaced. We expect the work to be finished this summer.
