Fall Cal Ripken U12 Baseball - Coed

Fall is a great time for some socially distant baseball! There are no cuts, everyone plays, and we bat through the order. Participants will gain a strong understanding of the game, with individual fundamental skill development and sportsmanship stressed. We anticipate having one 12U team this fall, child must be 12 on May 1st, 2020) playing approximately ~6 games this fall. 12U eligible kids typically includes all 6th graders and some 7th and 5th graders. Please ask the coaches if you are unsure about your age eligibility.
We will be playing teams from the Upper Valley Cal Ripken League which includes Dresden/Hanover, Lebanon, Hartford and Thetford. Hats and jerseys will be provided and handed out before the first game. Participants must return jerseys to their coaches at season’s end. Players must provide their own grey baseball pants and red undershirts. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, kids are required to bring your own glove, bat and helmet. Boys - Must wear a protective cup. The town will provide helmets as needed on an individual basis, but players are not allowed to share equipment. USA baseball bat standard is in effect for all bats. A regulation Cal Ripken League hard ball is used. Coaches will be in touch regarding practice and game schedules which are under development. The season will run September 1st to October 15th.
